Donation by the pupils of the Wilhelms-Gymnasium in Degerloch
Every year around Christmas time, the pupils of the Wilhelms-Gymnasium in Degerloch sell oranges to raise money for a good cause. On Thursday, 12/02/2015, the pupils donated the proceeds of their orange campaign to the TRANSEARCH ChildFund Foundation. Student representatives Sonja Kayser, Paula Abel and Jan Phillip Ronde handed over a cheque for more than €4,000 to the managing director Ulrich Ackermann and representatives of our foundation.
The TRANSEARCH ChildFund Foundation has been supporting projects in Vietnam and Zambia via donations since 2006. “We want to enable children to receive a school education. Helping them to help themselves is important to us,” said Ulrich Ackermann during the handover. With this donation, the foundation wishes to build a new pre-school in Zambia, for children aged three to six, where the children will be better prepared to attend primary school later.
